The Aviation Club UK's 2019 lunch programme will launch next Thursday (7 February) with guest speaker Robert Sinclair, CEO London City Airport. He joined LCY in October 2017.Sinclair, a New Zealander, had been CEO at Bristol Airport since 2008, during which time it had seen record growth in passenger numbers and profitability and successfully delivered a £160m development programme.
A qualified chartered accountant and solicitor, Sinclair was chief financial officer at Auckland International Airport and before that at UBS investment banking for 10 years before joining Bristol.
He took over at London City from Declan Collier, in charge from 2012, who currently chairs the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), a government department responsible for the economic and safety regulation of Britain's railways, and the economic monitoring of Highways England.
The following are confirmed as future speakers: Johan Lundgren, CEO easyJet (20 March); Robin Hayes, CEO jetBlue (11 April); Paulo Mirpuri, CEO Hi Fly (June); Paul Griffiths, CEO Dubai Airports (19 September); Oscar Munoz, CEO United Airlines (7 November) and Warren East, CEO Rolls-Royce (5 December).
