Walking the walk with TfL

With exercise a key part of many New Year resolutions, Transport for London (TfL) has teamed up with Go Jauntly, a wayfinding app, to bring a Walking Tube Map to mobile phones to make it easier for people to walk as part of their everyday journeys.

The map is available by downloading the free Go Jauntly app. It shows walking times to Tube and Overground stations and Santander Cycles docking stations, plus step-by-step directions for local walks and details on station accessibility.  London pollution levels are also noted.

Go Jauntly has included TfL’s own walking routes, The Capital Ring and The Jubilee Walkway, on the app, allowing Londoners and visitors to explore the capital easily, with step-by-step instructions.

London walking and cycling commissioner Will Norman said: “Walking is a fantastic way to get around London and Go Jauntly’s new map makes it simpler to find routes, especially if you’re in an area you are less familiar with.

“The free app has clear directions which will help to encourage more Londoners to walk regularly – improving their health and tackling our air pollution crisis at the same time.”
