AND FINALLY: Runaway runways

Heathrow, eat your heart out. While wrangling continues over a third runway for the London hub, we have a progress report on Beijing Daxing.

The Chinese capital’s second international airport is now under construction, it will have four runways when it opens next September and a total of seven runways in the future to accommodate 620,000 flights and 100m passengers a year.

A 70,000sq m terminal building is expected to be completed on 30 June next year.
