Travellers searching for a new level of luxury in London are being told they can look forward to discovering Belmond Cadogan Hotel, opening early in the new year as a “home away from home” on Sloane Street.
The £36.6m project has been restoring the heritage of a landmark Queen Anne Revival building dating from 1887, while fully renovating it in a contemporary style to create what backers say will be one of London’s most exclusive retreats.
The hotel will have 54 rooms, two-thirds of which are suites, some featuring original fireplaces. Each guest will have access to a private entrance, so the hotel can be used as a private residence.
Belmond Cadogan Hotel also faces a private garden that guests can visit and the property also offers a 24hr fitness suite, spa and library. Young guests will have access to dedicated menus, in-room amenities such as bathrobes and games, and family-friendly suggestions from the concierge.
Belmond Cadogan Hotel is the brand’s first and only hotel in London, complemented by an existing UK portfolio including the Belmond British Pullman vintage day train based out of London Victoria Station, the Belmond Royal Scotsman sleeper train and Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire.
