Passengers arriving at Gatwick from 78 cities in Europe and Africa now have access to even more connecting flights to Canada with Canadian carrier Air Transat becoming a partner in the Worldwide by easyJet platform.
An additional agreement with GatwickConnects service, which is designed specifically to help travellers to book and connect with flights via Gatwick, will provide easyJet passengers with flight protection.
Transat COO Annick Guérard said: “Gatwick has been a European mainstay for Air Transat for 30 years, with daily direct flights to Toronto as well as departures to major Canadian cities such as Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal.
“With it being also one of easyJet’s main airports, this agreement reinforces Gatwick’s importance for Air Transat, making us even more versatile as we open up a range of possibilities to a new clientele looking to visit Canada.”
The deal means travellers passing through Gatwick who book a flight on the Worldwide by easyJet platform will now have access to a wide range of flight options to Canada as well as multiple destinations in Europe.
EasyJet chief executive Johan Lundgren said: “We have been delighted with the appetite of partner airports and airlines to expand Worldwide and continue to broaden our focus to launch more airline partners and add connectivity to more of the biggest airports.”
