Extra hours at Biggin

Due to increased demand, dedicated business aviation airport Biggin Hill is introducing Boxing Day opening hours this year. Private jet travellers will be able to use the airport from 10:00-18:00 on Wednesday 26 December.

Marketing manager Andy Patsalides said: “As London is one of the world’s most significant business and financial centres, it is vital we provide consistent access to the city, even during the festive period.

“The decision to open on Boxing Day is particularly in response to the needs of our customers from the US. Since extending our regular operating hours 18 months ago, transatlantic movements at the airport have surged, with the latest Business Aviation INSIGHT report from WINGX showing a 40.5% year-on-year increase.

“Our special opening arrangements will mean travellers from across the Atlantic will be able to board a flight late on Christmas Day and arrive in London by mid-morning on the second day of the festivities, be it for business or pleasure.”

A designated UK port of entry and free of runway slot constraints, Biggin Hill is 12 miles from central London and offers award-winning VIP handling, a choice of FBOs, extensive hangarage, support and maintenance services for all types of business jet.
