Fresh from an extensive eight-month renovation, the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul has celebrated its grand reopening in the South Korean capital, the host city for next year’s IATA annual conference.
The hotel, which made its initial debut in 2000, was Marriott International’s first luxury property in Korea. It is in the central Gangnam district with easy access to a wide range of restaurants, shopping, culture and entertainment.
It is also directly linked to the Shinsegae department store, a newly-opened duty-free shop and three lines of the Seoul Metro, giving guests convenient travel options to the main visitor attractions.
The hotel has 379 of the Seoul’s largest guestrooms including two multi-level penthouses and 32 suites. Each room features a photo wall displaying the work of local artist Seungsang Park.
There are also seven restaurants from casual chic to fine dining, led by the Margaux Grill whose range of dishes can be paired with a glass from a list of 1,400 fine wines – one of the most extensive in Seoul.
Conferences and other special events are catered for by seven distinct venues totalling more than 1,460sq m of floor space that can be tailored to groups and parties of all sizes. Centrepiece is a 766sq m Grand Ballroom.
