Roll up for Propliner 2019

Contributions are now being sought by editor/publisher Tony Merton Jones for the 2019 Propliner annual, which is planned to make an appearance in April following the success of the 2018 edition, which sold in higher numbers than either of the previous two years.

The publication grew out of Propliner Aviation Magazine, which was launched in January 1979 as a journal devoted to piston-engined and turboprop aircraft.

Content focused on what many consider some of the best airliners that ever saw service, such as the Constellations, Britannias, Stratocruisers, Convairliners, Viscounts and Douglas piston types that once dominated the world’s air routes.

The magazine was produced as a hobby by a group of enthusiasts until it ceased publication in March 2015. It was then replaced by a yearly version, of which the 2018 edition was the largest to date.

Jones said: “The plan is for the 2019 edition to be the same size as this year’s, at 132 pages, but this depends very much on the level and quality of contributions. Who knows, it might even grow again."

Contributions can be sent to tmjpropliner@btinternet.com or editor@propliner.co.uk or by post to 3 Castle Woods, Redlynch, Salisbury, SP5 2PY.
