Arora sets opening date
What is likely to be the largest hotel opening in the UK this year takes place at Heathrow later this month as the Arora Group unveils the combined Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express at Terminal 4.
A 3min covered walk from the terminal building, the complex when complete will be the largest hotel complex with such a direct connection and is the first dual-branded concept by Arora under a franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
The dual-brand idea, relatively new to the UK, provides guests with two hotel choices under one roof while upholding the individual identities of the properties. The opening is on 19 October.
The 300-room Crowne Plaza will feature an executive club lounge, all-day dining in the Urban Brasserie, a gym and business centre, while the 450-room Holiday Inn Express will offer an Express Bar and Café. General manager Andrew Brown and the executive team will work across both properties.
Both properties are owned by Arora Hotels, a division of the Arora Group, which also operates hotels including the Hilton London Gatwick, Novotel London Stansted Airport, Holiday Inn London Heathrow, Sofitel London Gatwick and Sofitel London Heathrow.
IHG has just opened a dual-branded Staybridge Suites and Crowne Plaza complex at The Lume development in Manchester.
