TED WILKINSON OF THE GUILD OF MOTORING WRITERS WITH A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS UPDATE
INFINITI: Just launching in the UK is Nissan’s Infiniti premium range of cars that include saloons, Coupe, Cabriolets, Crossovers and hybrids. Established over 20 years and with the UK becoming its 15th market, the brand specialises in a unique marketing style where the showrooms are styled more on luxury hotels and with a distinctive indoors hand-over procedure.
The first of a planned eight Infiniti outlets is located at Reading where potential customers can see the cars in the flesh and also see the model of their choice in the selected colour scheme via a unique audio visual system. They can even select the colour and texture of the leather from samples and create their own bespoke version. Infiniti’s marketing policy is to allocate a personal contact for each customer and to provide a ‘never alone’ service throughout the country. All Infiniti models are powered exclusively by medium capacity V6 petrol engines that will be joined by a very refined V6 turbo diesel unit in the very near future.
Price guide: Infiniti G37S saloon £33,500 to £38,600 according to specification.
