In a first foray into South East Asia, the Waldorf Astoria brand has celebrated the official opening of the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, within the 60-storey Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard in the heart of the Thai capital.
It features 171 guestrooms and suites on levels six to 15 of the complex with deluxe rooms offering at least 50sq m of space, rising to 300sq m for the single Royal Suite. Spa-inspired bathrooms and marble bathtubs are standard.
Level 16 plays host to an outdoor, temperature-controlled swimming pool with deck chairs and a pool bar, along with sweeping views of the city. A nearby 24hr fitness studio offers all-day exercise.
The spa is open 10:00–22:00, with a range of signature treatments, while other guest facilities include personal concierge service, free wi-fi throughout and a limousine airport shuttle.
Also available are eight meeting rooms ranging from 20sq m–490sq m for conferences, private receptions and business meetings, all including AV equipment and wi-fi.
Food and drink outlets span the top three floors from levels 55–57, led by the hotel’s signature restaurant The Front Room, supported by the Bull & Bear for grilled meats and seafoods.
