The latest long-haul route from Stansted to be operated by Primera Air has taken to the skies with the launch of a new five-flights-weekly service to Washington Dulles Airport.
The direct service to the US capital is operated by one of Primera’s brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft with a choice of two cabins, full-service Premium and low-fare Economy, plus free wi-fi and onboard charging points.
The new service joins the airline’s long-haul routes to New York, Boston and Toronto, all of which launched earlier this year.
Stansted aviation manager Mark Souter said: “Primera’s new service to Washington Dulles is a great addition to the airline’s long-haul offer from Stansted and a clear reflection of demand across London and eastern England for convenient and affordable connections to the US and beyond.
“We have made clear our ambition is to provide passengers with more choice and opportunities to travel long-haul from Stansted, including more services to the US and new routes to China and India and this is another step toward delivering that.”
