The Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), India's largest hospitality company and the group behind the Taj brand, is opening a new 108-room Taj Vivanta at Heathrow in three years’ time, its first example of the Vivanta brand in London.
The hospitality group has collaborated with Hayre Group for the project, set to open in 2021. It will be built in Heathrow’s Central Terminal Area and feature 108 guestrooms, all-day-dining, a bar and lounge, a gym and flexible banqueting space.
The hotel will also feature the fourth outpost of the Bombay Brasserie restaurant brand.
Group CEO and managing director Puneet Chhatwal said: “IHCL was the first Indian hospitality company to foray into the United Kingdom with the iconic St James’ Court hotel in 1982.
“Today, we are proud to partner with Hayre Group Ltd in bringing the first Vivanta branded hotel to London with a signing that is in line with our growth strategy of adding hotels in key locations globally.”
