Private jet business travellers keen to establish closer links between London and New York stand to benefit from a new deal between Biggin Hill Airport and executive helicopter operator Associated Aircraft Group (AAG).
The two companies are coming together to launch a New York Heli Shuttle, mirroring the successful London Heli Shuttle launched in 2014 which operates out of Biggin Hill to provide fast links to the capital’s business centres.
Biggin Hill business development director Robert Walters said: “From a business travel perspective, it is especially good news for charter brokers and those who regularly book travel between New York and London, as the process of travelling between the two city centres is now much simpler.”
In business for more than 25 years and with the largest fleet of Sikorsky S-76 helicopters in the northeast US, AAG will run the 6min shuttle transfer from Biggin Hill sister airport Teterboro directly to Manhattan’s East 34th Street heliport.
General manager John Gow said: “We’ve seen how successful the London Heli Shuttle has been for Biggin Hill and we are excited to be bringing the option to New York through Teterboro, giving passengers the fastest route between the two cities.”
