AND FINALLY: Woman pilots, Part II

Following our tale of the Lotus female flier (BTN 11 June), we turn to the story of a woman pilot’s response to two male passengers after they made comments about her on a flight.

Charlotte Knowlson, who works for easyJet and tweets as @pilotcharlotte, said one male passenger “joked” he wouldn't have boarded if he had known she was flying the aircraft.

Another said: “I won't make any jokes about female drivers then.”

Her response, via Twitter? “Fact is, I can fly an £80m jet. You can’t.”
