Holiday Inn CDG

The growing trend for hotels to be linked to the airports they serve has taken another step with the opening of the largest Holiday Inn Express in France at one of Europe’s busiest – Paris Charles de Gaulle.

Directly connected to Terminal 1, the new-build 305-room property, part of the IHG group, features easy access to flights as well as speedy transport links into central Paris.

Other special points include extra-wide beds with noise-absorbing headboards, bed-side built-in USB ports, plasma screens that can be connected to personal devices to stream media, a power shower and free wi-fi throughout.

IHG regional vice-president marketing Mike Greenup said: “This greatly anticipated hotel offer guests everything for a stopover, just metres from the airport terminal, in keeping with our  goal of putting the right brands in the right locations.”

Hotel general manager Arnaud Vermerie added: “Paris is already a European travel hub and our new hotel is in a prime position to support the needs of business and leisure guests alike.

"We’re also in a great location for those who wish to venture into central Paris as we are right opposite the train station. More importantly, we offer a comfortable bed and a power shower to leave all travellers feeling refreshed.”
