Emirates suite on show

Premium travel has been in the spotlight for Emirates at this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM) with the airline unveiling its new Boeing B777-300ER First Class private suite.

This 2018 show marked Emirates’ 25th year of partnership with ATM. When the exhibition began in 1993, the airline flew 15 aircraft to 32 destinations and carried 2m passengers.

Today, Emirates is one of the largest international carriers, serving 159 destinations in 85 countries and carrying more than 59m passengers to, and through, its Dubai hub.

ATM visitors were able to explore up-close the game changing, fully enclosed First Class private suites on exhibit, including floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, leather seating, high-tech control panels and mood lighting.

The suites also feature several world firsts, including virtual windows using real-time fibre-optic camera technology, a NASA-inspired ‘zero-gravity’ seating position, and a personal video-call service. Design details were inspired by luxury car brand Mercedes-Benz.

Emirates also showcased its latest Boeing B777 Business Class seat and the A380 OnBoard lounge, along with other iconic products such as the First Class shower spa and the latest version of its generously-pitched Economy-Class seats.
