Yotel for Istanbul

One of the biggest airport hotels in the world is on course for Istanbul New Airport (INA) following an exclusive management contract deal between airport operator IGA and the London-based hospitality group Yotel.

The property will be located inside the main terminal building with both airside and landside access to 451 rooms and easily accessible for business and leisure travellers, airline crew and businesses within the airport and local environment.

Yotel CEO Hubert Viriot said of the brand’s first investment in Turkey: “Istanbul New Airport will serve to increase further Istanbul’s ever-expanding popularity and economy, and Yotel is delighted to be a part of it.

“The prevailing ambitious vision to make INA the largest transit hub in the world made it very attractive for us to be there, and we are honoured to be chosen. This city aspires to high growth success, just like Yotel, so we are a perfect match.”

Viriot said Yotel would introduce its trademark design and technology with one airside zone with 102 rooms and one landside with 349 rooms. Both will feature public spaces including the company’s signature Club Lounge concept. The landside zone will also include a restaurant, bar and gym, with flexible meeting spaces in both areas.
