Celebration is in the air for business aviation specialist ExecuJet, which has become the first fixed base operator (FBO) in Australia to achieve the International Standard for Business Aviation Handling (IS-BAH) Stage I accreditation for its installations at Sydney and Melbourne.
The announcement comes a year after the launch by ExecuJet, part of the Luxaviation Group, of the state-of-the-art Sydney operation with a VIP guest lounge, private apron and aircraft hangar at Sydney Airport.
ExecuJet’s Melbourne FBO at Essendon Airport boasts a dedicated lounge and full support services, which it says ensures a seamless and discreet process just 10km from the city centre for passengers.
Luxaviaton Group FBO director Ettore Poggi said: “Being the first in Australia to achieve this accreditation is a significant achievement and testament to months of hard work by regional FBO manager Gary Forster and his Sydney and Melbourne teams.
“With the addition of the Sydney and Melbourne facilities, nine of ExecuJet’s network of 25 FBOs have now been accredited by IS-BAH, with those in Berlin, Lanseria and Zürich progressing to Stage II accreditation.”
IS-BAH is a joint programme between IBAC and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA).
