Double celebration for Delta

Forty years of service to the UK and more non-stop flights on the way next winter between the US and Europe are giving Delta Air Lines a double reason for celebration.

The UK anniversary comes next month, coinciding with the start of Delta’s summer seasonal service between London and Portland – the only non-stop service between the cities – on 4 May. Flights will operate four times a week throughout the summer.

The airline will also be offering seasonal services between Heathrow and Salt Lake City, as well as from both Edinburgh and Glasgow to New York JFK in addition to its busy schedule between London and the leading US destinations.

For next winter, Delta passengers will continue to have year-round non-stop access to Europe from several US gateways including New York JFK – Lisbon, Los Angeles – Paris CDG and Amsterdam, Indianapolis – Paris CDG and Orlando – Amsterdam.

The Lisbon service will operate up to five times a week in each direction from 27 October using the Boeing B757. The Los Angeles service to Paris CDG and Amsterdam will fly up to four times weekly with the Airbus A330.

Delta's new Indianapolis – Paris CDG flight, which launches on 24 May, will now also be extended into the winter. It is Indianapolis's only non-stop service to Europe and is operated by the Boeing B767-300ER.
