ABTA targets business travellers

Business travel buyers are being targeted for the first time with a dedicated online advertising campaign launched by ABTA – The Travel Association.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of ABTA’s ‘Travel with Confidence’ message and encourage people always to book with ABTA members, whose ranks include 37 of Britain’s top 50 travel management companies (TMCs).

The association says its research found 84% of managers said ABTA membership was important or very important when they selected a company to book their business travel arrangements.

‘We’re with you every step of the way,’ the strapline for the campaign, which is designed to redirect customers towards TMCs which are ABTA members, highlights how the benefits of booking with an ABTA member span a trip from start to finish.

Director of brand and business development Victoria Bacon said: “Being able to travel with confidence is just as important for business travellers as for holidaymakers.”

ABTA is running a one-day seminar in London in October on business travel risk management, bringing together corporate travel managers, TMCs and experts in travel security.
