Autograph arrives in Georgia

Marriott International’s portfolio of independent properties, Autograph Collection Hotels, has made its debut in Georgia with the opening of the Paragraph Resort & Spa in the Black Sea coastal resort of Shekvetili.

Marriott says the property, set between the beaches of the Black Sea coast and an ancient pine forest, offers an array of features and “exceptional” meeting facilities, making it ideal as both a corporate and leisure retreat.

European vice-president for premium and select brands John Licence said: “With spectacular design and standout guest experiences, the hotel delivers on the brand’s commitment to offering ‘exactly like nothing else’ moments at one-of-a-kind properties.”

The property, with 220 rooms and suites, is focused on corporate events with six meeting rooms totalling more than 8,500sq ft of space. The largest is a 5,000sq ft ballroom featuring an aquarium wall and winter garden view.

Additional facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre and spa offering a wide range of treatments for both adults and children, plus a steam room and plunge pool.

Public spaces range from the lobby’s walk-through aquarium to a winter garden with indoor waterfall and aqua park, plus a 115m filtered seawater pool built into a panoramic deck leading out over the Black Sea.
