Aviation Club WOW factor
The modern face of commercial aviation is on the agenda for this month’s lunch meeting of the Aviation Club in London when WOW Air founder, CEO, and sole owner Skuli Mogensen takes to the rostrum on 26 April as guest speaker.
Mogensen, an Icelander with an extensive business background largely in technology and telecoms in his home country and in Europe, and North America, set up the low-cost carrier in 2011.
He remains the sole owner and uses his tech background to get a good footprint for WOW through tech-minded travellers using social media tech using travellers. He was named Business Man of the Year in Iceland in 2011 and 2016.
Committed to providing the cheapest flights to and from Iceland and across the Atlantic, WOW operates a modern and growing fleet of Airbus aircraft currently serving 36 destinations with an expanding network playing on Iceland's geography to offer a fast transfer product between Europe, Asia and North America.
