On the heels of February's announcement of a Delta Sky Club lounge to open at Austin, Texas, the airline is now adding a similar facility at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport late this year.
Positioned near the Delta gates on the new South Concourse in Terminal 3, the lounge will be 7,500sq ft with design inspired by Arizona’s desert landscape. Features include local seasonal cuisine and a full-service free bar.
There will also be artwork throughout the club from Phoenix-based and regional artists plus specially-designed seating, wi-fi and easily accessible power outlets at nearly every seat.
The Phoenix installation is the most recent example of Delta’s programme to enhance the customer experience at Sky Clubs across the network with a burst of activity over the past 18 months.
This has included the announcement of the new Austin club opening in 2019 and the introduction of renovated Delta Sky Clubs at New York Newark and Minneapolis St Paul international airports.
It has also expanded the Sky Club at Raleigh-Durham and opened new flagship clubs at Atlanta and Seattle-Tacoma. Another innovation has been the unveiling of Asanda Spa Lounges at Atlanta, Seattle and New York JFK.
