More frequencies to important long-haul business destinations with connections through Helsinki for UK passengers have been announced by Finnair for the 2018-19 winter season.
Finnair is plugging its Helsinki connectivity
Including joint-partnership services with Japan Airlines, it means Finnair will offer up to 16 weekly flights to Tokyo. There will also be an extra weekly frequency between Helsinki and Nagoya from 29 October to 4 December for a total of six weekly flights.
Other destinations in the expansion include Geneva, where Finnair will introduce two additional weekly frequencies on Mondays and Fridays between January and March for a total of 13 weekly flights.
Lisbon will now have four weekly flights during the whole winter season while Alicante will become a year-round route with two additional weekly frequencies on Thursdays and Sundays.
In addition, Finnair says following a successful first season and in response to passenger demand, it is to operate the direct London – Kittilä flight on Sundays for the winter.
