Virgin Atlantic new Upper Class

Manchester has been chosen by Virgin Atlantic for the introduction of a new passenger offering in March.

Four ex-Air Berlin Airbus A330s are to join the airline’s fleet with three new seating styles and free wi-fi messaging in the Upper Class cabin.

The 287 seater Airbus A330-200 are fully wi-fi enabled and will initially operate flights from Manchester to New York, Boston, San Francisco and Barbados. They offer a choice of 19 fully flat beds in Upper Class, 46 extra leg room Economy seats and 222 Economy seats.

The unique Upper Class cabin introduces three new seat styles for customers to choose from – the Love Suite, the Freedom Solo Suite, and the Corner Solo Suite – all with direct aisle access.  The A330-200s will be fitted with Virgin Atlantic’s Premium Economy cabin towards the end of 2018.

The Love Suite – located in the centre of the cabin and ideal for couples or groups travelling and looking to dine and watch movies together. The Solo Freedom Suite lets customers unwind and stretch out with direct aisle access, and what is termed the Solo Corner Suite provides customers with extra privacy and a great view.
