Travel and the law

The travel industry faces major regulatory changes this year.

With the new Package Travel Regulations, ATOL (Air Transport Operators Licence) reform and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) around the corner, coupled with the uncertainties of Brexit, it must be that travel businesses stay up to date with the new regulatory landscape.

ABTA's Travel Law Seminar, now in its 20th year, will again be providing the essential legal update for the travel industry.  The seminar takes place 22-23 May at K&L Gates, One New Change, London EC4M 9AF.

Delegates can register for one or both days and will hear from travel law specialists on essential topics. With the UK outside the EU, looking ahead to 29 March 2019 ABTA asks the question.  “Where are we now and how can you prepare for the future?”

•    Packages, Linked Travel Arrangement and travel agents
•    Conducting litigation – how to deal with a claim
•    VAT-TOMS – what’s happening to TOMS?
•    The essential case law update – relevant cases from the past 12 months
•    Managing your customer and business data
•    Your terms and conditions – protecting yourself and your customers
•    An update on employment law.

The speakers include senior partners at some of the country’s leading law firms specialising in travel:

1 Chancery Lane | Elman Wall Bennett | Fieldfisher | Hamlins | Hextalls | HFW | Hill Dickinson | Ince & Co | K&L Gates | Kennedys | Plexus Law | Travlaw
