Luton-based independent Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) specialist Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd (MAEL), which is marking its 50th anniversary, has signed a new long-term line maintenance technical handling agreement with Wizz Air.
Neil Kirby: Strengthening an important relationship
MAEL sales manager Neil Kirby said: “We are delighted to enter into this long-term partnership with Wizz Air. The airline is growing rapidly, with seven aircraft to be based at Luton by next summer and we are proud to be carrying out the line maintenance.
“Wizz is a highly valued customer and the new Luton line maintenance contract strengthens this important relationship.
“As well as the Luton growth, our maintenance work in Kiev in Ukraine will also increase in 2018 when an additional aircraft and new routes will be added to Wizz’s network.
“We look forward to continuing to work with the airline and being a reliable partner for its growth in the UK.”
