Tel Aviv debut for Setai

New York-based Nakash Holdings, part of the Jordache Jeans empire, is introducing its luxury Setai hotel brand to Tel Aviv early next year. It will be the hospitality group’s second property in Israel and the third in the world.

The Setai Tel Aviv will be of 5-star deluxe standard and will join the Leading Hotels of the World collection when it opens in the historic Jaffa area. Setai opened its Sea of Galilee property in May this year and the portfolio also includes The Setai, Miami Beach.

The Tel Aviv property will be in the heart of the city, steps from Clock Square and the coastline, at the historic site known as the “Kishle.” It was built originally by the Turkish Empire to be a prison on the site of an historic Crusader fortress.

General manager Bruno H. de Schuyter said: “The 13th-century structure that is the foundation of the hotel is unlike any other, and we took meticulous care in preserving and infusing important historic elements into its transformation.

“Guests will be surrounded by a unique atmosphere of ‘old meets new’ while experiencing first-class amenities and services in what will be the most superior 5-star hotel in Tel Aviv.”
