Airline 2018, a dedicated airline and airport networking event, is making its debut next April at Canary Wharf in London’s Docklands. It has been developed by Global Travel Investments (GTI), a specialist in aviation gatherings.
Organisers say the event is being designed to bring together the world’s air service development professionals in an “exciting, effective and innovative” new business format to provide high-standard networking opportunities.
Airports will exhibit in a special “presentation base” ready to be targeted by airlines for route discussions while diaries will be tailored to maximise meeting requests. Visitor and economic development officials will also be there to make the case for new routes and air services.
Event director Sallyanne Collins said: “Airline 2018 will provide an exclusive networking opportunity for airlines and airports to discuss new business opportunities.
“Delegates can make best use of their business schedule with a mix of formal, diarised ‘face-to-face’ meetings, informal relaxed networking in the hospitality room or at brief ‘handshake’ sessions to deliver the best route development opportunities.”
