Heathrow’s Terminal 5 has greeted its latest attraction with the opening of a new Plaza Premium, the first for the group in the terminal. It completes a full set for the company around the airport.
With prices from £40 for a 2hr access, the facility is aimed at both business and leisure travellers and offers a fully tended bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, fresh seasonal hot and cold food from the buffet and high-speed wi-fi.
Other features include shower facilities where passengers can refresh for the next stage of their journeys, plenty of comfortable seats, workstations and charging outlets, plus a selection of international newspapers and magazines.
The 465sq m lounge, set in a quiet corner of the terminal near departure gate A7, is open daily from 05:00 to 22:00 and can be booked in advance or is open to walk-ins. It is the sixth Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow Airport, with others at Terminal 2 Arrivals and Departures, T3 Arrivals and T4 Arrivals and Departures.
In addition to airport lounges, Plaza Premium also operates airport transit hotels under the Aerotel brand. An 83-bedroom Aerotel is due to open landside in Terminal 3 in January.
