Flybe names new CCO

Aviation veteran Roy Kinnear is leaving his job as CEO at Air Seychelles to become the new chief commercial officer for Flybe. He will join the company in April, reporting to CEO Christine Ourmières-Widener.

He will join Flybe's executive committee and be responsible for the airline's commercial activities, with revenue management, network, scheduling, ancillary sales, marketing, e-commerce, customer care and loyalty teams reporting to him.

Before he joins, director of revenue management and distribution Ronnie Matheson will act as interim CCO, while chief revenue officer Vincent Hodder has become chief strategy officer.

Kinnear joined Air Seychelles in July 2015 from the airline’s strategic partner Etihad Airways, where he held the position of senior vice-president for revenue management and planning.

An honours graduate in Economics and Statistics, he began his career with bmi, becoming general manager revenue optimisation before moving to Bahrain to become head of network revenue management at Gulf Air from 2002-2006.

In 2006, he moved to Abu Dhabi where he held the post of vice-president revenue management at Etihad Airways until 2010, then senior vice-president cargo in 2010 before the revenue management and planning role.
