Passengers are being promised “an innovative and seamless travel experience” in addition to a spacious new lounge when Cathay Pacific moves to the new Terminal 4 at Singapore’s Changi Airport when it opens tomorrow (Tuesday).
Cathay, which until now has been using Terminal 1, will be the first airline to make the move to the new complex, which officials say is among the most technologically advanced in the world.
Cathay Pacific passengers on flight CX659 scheduled to arrive early tomorrow from Hong Kong will be the first to disembark at Terminal 4, while passengers on flight CX650 to Hong Kong will be the first to depart a little over an hour later.
The airline says Terminal 4 “takes innovation to the next level” by offering its passengers an integrated suite of self-service options, reducing queueing time and speeding up the process right through to boarding.
Passengers will check-in, drop off bags, clear immigration and board using fully automated systems, which Cathay says ensure a seamless, stress-free passage and greater control over how customers spend their time at the terminal.
The new dedicated Cathay Pacific lounge is one of the airline’s largest outside Hong Kong, with seating for more than 200 and a “living room” environment for relaxing, eating and working before flights.
