Wizz seeks to fill 1,300 jobs

A need to fill almost 1,300 new direct jobs in the coming year prompted Wizz Air last week to launch what it described as the biggest recruitment campaign in its history, with opportunities available across the network.

The central and eastern Europe carrier said posts needed to be filled as the result of its 13 years strengthening its position in the Central and Eastern Europe aviation market and the pending arrival of 21 new Airbus A320 and A321 by the end of 2018.

These were in addition to the 11 new aircraft already delivered in 2017, with the airline noting its expansion and career opportunities did not end there as Wizz was planning to double its fleet to more than 160 aircraft by the end of 2024.

The company is organising 400 recruitment sessions for both pilots and cabin crew between now and the end of 2018 in more than 25 countries across Europe and beyond, including open days for cabin crew on 9 and 17 October at the Stuart Hotel and Ibis Hotel at Luton.

Details of these and other sessions for cabin crew and pilots can be found by following the links on the airline website.
