All change at Escape lounges

Change is on the menu for three UK Escape Lounges run by the Manchester Airport Group (MAG). The company is taking the catering operation in-house and at the same time refreshing the branding, menu options and beverage offer.

The lounges, which MAG operates at its Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands airports, will from now on offer completely all-inclusive food and drink provided by MAG’s own staff. The operation was previously run by Delaware North Company.

The lounges will also be undergoing a brand refresh, with new colour schemes, menu designs and locally-inspired artwork, plus “Instagram walls” where passengers have a chance of seeing their own photos displayed.

Work at East Midlands was being carried out last week, while the Stansted refresh is due to take place on 11 October and at Manchester Airport terminals 1, 2 and 3 on 10 November.

The changes at each lounge are being carried out within 24hr, meaning the facilities will be closed for business for only one day before the launch, after which the new options will be handled by in-house MAG staff.

They will also be “all-inclusive”, with items including hot breakfasts, premium beers and spirits and hot meat and vegetarian main dishes now available for the single entry price.
