More Tokyo for Air Canada

Year-round non-stop flights linking Montreal and Tokyo Narita with daily service during summer and three times a week in winter are being launched by Air Canada using its flagship three-class Boeing B787 Dreamliner.

The airline says the latest transpacific operation from the Montreal hub is designed to optimise connectivity to major Canadian and US cities including Quebec City, Ottawa, Halifax, Charlottetown, Boston, Philadelphia and Orlando.

President and CEO Calin Rovinescu said the new service was part of Air Canada’s programme to continue to build its global expansion by strategically building its presence at Montreal.

“The new flights will offer passengers convenient access from Canada and the northeast to Japan and beyond, complementing our existing Tokyo flights from Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary,” he added.

“The service further reflects Air Canada's ongoing international growth strategy from Montreal, following the recent introduction of non-stop flights to Shanghai, Lima, North Africa and Europe.”

Air Canada Dreamliners’ three cabins have ergonomic seating and enhanced-definition intuitive touch personal entertainment screens, with International Business Class also offering 180deg lie-flat seats with direct aisle access.

Premium Economy has extra personal space, wider seats, greater legroom and recline, premium meals, free bar service and priority check-in and baggage delivery at the airport.
