New-look lounge for TAP

TAP Portugal last week reopened its exclusive lounge in Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport after a major refurbishment, with access to Victoria Gold, TAP Corporate Top, Star Alliance Gold and TAP Platinum American Express passengers.

TAP passengers who are travelling on tap|executive or tap|topexecutive fares, whether or not members of the Victoria Programme, also have access. Victoria Silver clients can use the lounge when travelling on intercontinental flights operated by TAP, irrespective of the fare purchased.

The 850sq m facility on the airport’s sixth floor can accommodate 260 people and provides a wide range of quality facilities, including a business centre, rest zones, showers, a children’s area, restaurant and bar.

Elsewhere, TAP has re-established a daily service between Lisbon and Budapest after a 14-month break. Flights will reduce to six a week for this winter. The resumption means there will be more than 180,000 seats on the route this year.

Budapest Airport CEO Jost Lammers said: “It’s great to welcome back TAP into our portfolio as well as giving us the opportunity to offer our customers excellent onward connections to Morocco, Brazil, Cape Verde and the Azores.”
