More growth at Hainan

Non-stop flights between Shenzhen and Brisbane are being launched by Hainan Airlines on 20 September in a further extension of its plans to develop an international network.

The development follows the successful launch of the Shenzhen – Auckland service, and will be Hainan Airlines’ second intercontinental flight from Shenzhen and the airline’s fifth direct flight to Australia and New Zealand.

Brisbane is Australia’s third largest city in terms of population after Sydney and Melbourne and the launch of non-stop service to and from Shenzhen is considered certain to boost political and economic cooperation as well as trading opportunities.

Hainan plans to deploy the Airbus A330, with two round-trip flights weekly and a Business Class featuring 180deg adjustable lie-flat seats, Bose headsets and quality toiletry kits.

Special amenities for Hainan Business Class passengers include pick-up and delivery shuttle services, multiple round-trip ticket packages, priority seat selection and cabin upgrades. Passengers in all classes have access to an on-demand entertainment system and a gourmet selection of Western and Oriental meals.

Hainan has rolled out more than 1,000 domestic and international routes since 1993 to and from nearly 100 cities across Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania.
