Sheraton Cairo reopens

A city landmark for more than 40 years, the Sheraton Cairo Hotel has reopened after an extensive renovation to produce modern interiors, refreshed public spaces and innovative dining concepts.

Standing on the west bank of the Nile, the property has a prime location, just steps from the Egyptian Museum, Cairo Opera House and the 70-storey Cairo Tower.

Marriott International Middle East and Africa president and managing director Alex Kyriakidis said: “Sheraton Cairo was our first Sheraton hotel in Africa. The reopening is a milestone, showcasing our transformation efforts around the Sheraton brand and  reinstating our commitment to Egypt as a strategic growth market.”

The hotel has 326 rooms and suites including Sheraton Club rooms with exclusive access to the Sheraton Club Lounge on the 26th floor with city views and free breakfast, drinks and snacks during the day.

Another feature is more than 1,400sq m of dedicated meeting space including a lavishly appointed ballroom, 13 meeting rooms and a fully equipped business centre, all with state-of-the-art facilities and seamless connectivity through high-speed wi-fi.

Leisure facilities include an extensive fitness centre available 24 hours a day for in-house guests, a luxury pool and six restaurants and bars.
