Captains and first officers are being sought in a recruitment drive by bmi regional after what the airline says has been a successful start to 2017 which has included launching new routes across its network and strong sustained growth.
Bmi says it is seeking crew at all levels, but particularly direct-entry captains for roles that will see the successful candidates travelling throughout Europe aboard its all-jet Embraer fleet.
Those given jobs will be based out of one of bmi regional’s key hubs in Munich or Bristol with the opportunity to fly to a range of bmi regional destinations such as Paris, Milan, Munich, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Brussels or Hamburg.
Chief operating officer Martin Whittaker said: “At present the industry is experiencing a global shortage of flight crew. While we do have a steady number of applications each month, our growth creates a requirement for an increase in this rate.”
Additional benefits for successful candidates for direct-entry captain positions include on-the-job training and career progression, concessionary travel, pension, life assurance cover, private healthcare and 30 days’ annual leave.
