Europe’s first W Hotels’ Sound Suite has arrived at the company’s flagship property in Barcelona following a multi-million pound transformation of all 473 guestrooms and suites.
The Sound Suite is a fully-equipped music studio and writers’ room now available around the world at four W Hotels, part of Marriott International. The other are at W Bali, W Seattle and W Hollywood.
The spaces have been created in partnership with Coca-Cola to enable professional recording artists, studio musicians, producers and hotel guests alike to record in style while on the road.
Its arrival is a special feature for W Barcelona, which has become one of the most distinctive landmarks along the city’s coastline thanks to its iconic sail shape and generous sea views.
The main mixing room of the Sound Suite has a private vocal booth and a lounge big enough for artists and their entourage. The hotel will also offer private master classes lead by a music curator, recording sessions and space for “creative brainstorming”.
Elsewhere in the property, all guest rooms now feature a range of new in-room services including coffee machines, tea making facilities, 49in flat-screen televisions and Bose blue-tooth sound systems.
