EasyJet in VIP launch

A VIP service for passengers with free parking, drinks and refreshments in a luxury private terminal and limousine transfer to aircraft is being introduced at Luton Airport by easyJet in partnership with Signature Flight Support.

The Signature Elite service is being launched at a headline price of £475 per person with an additional fee of £120 for each subsequent passenger on the same booking but is likely to be subject to special promotions and offers as it gets under way.

Luton is Britain’s busiest airport for private jets, popular with celebrities like Brad Pitt and Taylor Swift and known for the distinctive livery of aircraft belonging to Lewis Hamilton and John Travolta when they fly in.

Signature’s newly-opened luxury terminal allows passengers to leave their cars parked by the door. Customs, immigration and security procedures are carried out on-site and passengers can relax in well-appointed lounges before their flights.

Cars then transport passengers directly to their easyJet aircraft for priority boarding while their luggage is transferred to the hold.  EasyJet said it expected the service to appeal to business travellers or passengers celebrating special occasions such as weddings or anniversaries but was not forthcoming on when VIP passengers would be boarded and whether cabin locker space would be reserved for them.
