Titan adds all-business A318

Configured with just 32 seats, a new all-Business Class Airbus A318-100 has joined the fleet at Stansted-based charter carrier Titan Airways and will be available from early next month.

The lie-flat seats offer a 72in pitch when upright and convert to a 6ft bed in full lie-flat mode. All seats are equipped with in-seat power, including a selection of two- and three-pin sockets enabling passengers to run and charge electronic devices.

A Titan spokesman said: “Our A318 is ideal for short, medium and long haul, single and multi-destination trips and has a superb range for an aircraft of its size of 3,600nmi. Also, thanks to its size and steep approach compatibility, it can operate at smaller regional airfields.

“Initially we plan to keep the aircraft in the 32-seat configuration for the charter market, as we see potentially a demand for this and the aircraft slots in with our fleet and our progression into the various Airbus types.

“Eventually we will look to operate the aircraft in either a 32-seat all-Business Class  as well as possibly up to a 114-seat Economy Class layout, changing into either configuration within a relatively short time scale.”
