Arabian Travel Market date

More than 30,000 visitors are expected in Dubai next week for the four-day Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2017, which takes place in Dubai World Trade Centre from next Monday, 24 April, and is set to be the biggest in the event’s 24-year history.

The show has also attracted more than 2,800 exhibitors, with organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions opening an additional hall this year to cope with the increased demand.

Senior exhibition director Simon Press said: “The show has experienced phenomenal growth of more than 70% since 2012 and this year looks set to break all previous records. We have more than 100 new exhibitors signed up and 65 country pavilions, while we expect representation from 140 countries over the four days.”

The official theme for ATM 2017 is experiential travel, taking in the adventure, culture, heritage, wellness & spa, sport, theme park, halal and cruise sectors and how they are catered for in the Middle East market.

A dominant feature of this year’s show will be preparations for Expo2020, which is being held in the UAE in three years’ time as part of the UAE government’s long-term vision for economic diversification.
