With the largest Hilton development pipeline in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia has seen the opening of the group’s Makkah Convention Hotel, with views of the Sacred Mosque, Al Masjid al Haram, and the city's largest ballroom and convention centre.
It is the 12th hotel in the country for Hilton, which has 30 more on the way, and features the largest pillar-less ballroom in Makkah, with the ability to accommodate up to 1,600 people.
The new property also boasts the first and largest convention centre in the city, an additional eight multi-purpose meeting and boardrooms, plus three restaurants and a café offering a variety of cuisines.
The 764 contemporary guestrooms, including 90 executive rooms, 25 executive suites and 16 suites with views of Haram, feature large modern walk-in showers and guests also have access to the 24hr fitness centre with the latest equipment.
General manager Mark Allaf said: "We are delighted to be welcoming guests looking to stay in the heart of Makkah in a hotel that offers contemporary accommodations in one of the world's most monumental cities. With its ballroom and convention centre, it is also ideal for meetings and events of all sizes."
