A second daily service between Dubai and Bali is being launched by Emirates on 2 July to offer more connectivity options in face of growing demand from both leisure and business travellers. Flights will be by B777-300ER.
The airline says bookings to the island from the UK are up 100% over the next six months, compared with the same period last year, putting it in the top 20 destinations on Emirates’ network for passengers travelling from the UK.
The B777-300ER aircraft will have a two-class configuration, with 42 seats in Business and 386 in Economy. The outbound flight will be timed to connect with several destinations across Europe, including Amsterdam, Paris and London.
Emirates says it has also been designed to enable passengers to connect domestically to the nearby cities of Surabaya, Makassar and Lombok. Both inbound and outbound services also accommodate connections to and from Dili in East Timor.
Emirates began services to Indonesia in 1992 with three flights a week via Singapore and Colombo. Since March 2013, it has operated three daily non-stops daily between Jakarta and Dubai with the B777 and has also been operating daily flights connecting Bali and Dubai since June 2015.
