Farnborough sets out its stall

With Northolt Aerodrome likely to close for private jets for at least nine months from this time next year (BTN 6 March) and expansion at Biggin Hill (see this issue), other executive aircraft bases have been quick to market their offerings.

Among them, TAG Farnborough Airport is stressing its closeness to London – less than an hour away – and the fact that, as part of the TAG Aviation Group, it shares common DNA with that company, with the same standards of safety, quality and service.

CEO Brandon O’Reilly said: “Exclusively dedicated to business aviation, TAG Farnborough is the most modern and efficient private airport of its kind in Europe, a magnificent gateway to London with unparalleled amenities and services for passengers, crew and aircraft.

“No other London airport offers the prestige and convenience of Farnborough, with an award-winning main terminal, control tower and hangar architecture. Passengers can drive directly to waiting jets, assuring the most discrete and convenient flight experience.”

O’Reilly, pointing out Farnborough had been named world No.1 fixed base operator (FBO) for nine consecutive years, added the airport’s “spacious and beautifully designed lounges” were another factor in the services offered to VIP passengers, pilots and crew.
