In the spirit of nothing being impossible, BTN brings you news that a US-based start-up airline is planning to launch electronic-powered passenger flights from London to Paris within 10 years.
Wright Electric, which is working with easyJet, told the BBC its aim is to develop a plane for 150 passengers, although as Simon Calder pointed out in The Independent, the design depends on battery improvements – using current technology, such an aircraft could barely take off.
EasyJet told the BBC: "Easyjet has had discussions with Wright Electric and is actively providing an airline operator's perspective on the development of this exciting technology."
