A new Business Class seat promising passengers “the feeling of a hotel above the clouds” was a highlight of ITB Berlin last week as TAP of Portugal presented its new Recaro CL6710 for the A330neo fleet.
The Portuguese airline is launch customer for the new long-haul Airbus and will be equipping the cabin entirely with Recaro seats, with the award-winning CL6710 the choice for Business Class.
The seat manufacturer’s CEO, Mark Hiller, said: “In addition to ergonomic comfort, the CL6710 stands out with its light weight and efficient use of space in the cabin, while offering each passenger a separate area with direct access to the aisle.
“Seat length, width and various positioning options, such as the relax position and the completely flat bed, invite passengers to stretch out and rest. When changing position, the seat moves at an ideal, predefined angle so the passenger's body is optimally supported in the seat at all times.”
Other features include a six-way adjustable headrest to support the neck properly even if the passenger is wearing headphones, while the seat design enables customer-specific features, such as storage compartments selected by TAP.
