Rethinking business aviation

Is it time to rethink business aviation? This will be the theme of a networking event at the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) in London on 25 April, when a team of experts will discuss the industry and its future.

Taking place from 18:00 – 20:00, the session will examine factors currently at work, including aim to a lack of clarity over the changing political landscape, the constant need to remain attractive as an employment sector and being at the forefront in environmental improvement.

“These are just some of the issues affecting the entire aviation community, the society says. “The business aviation industry is no exception, continually having to evolve to maintain its strength in a world of uncertainty.

“Given the importance of business aviation to the national economy, especially as a driver for creating and sustaining jobs, the society believes public policies and decision makers need to understand better the role of business aviation in the UK.”

The gathering will include representatives from the business aviation sector, industry advocates, enthusiasts, press and politicians, among others in what the society says is a call to the community to highlight the industry’s benefits to the country.
